The Brockville and Area Community Foundation today announced tickets are now on sale for its first ever Masquerade Gala and Silent Auction.
The gala will take place on October 23rd from 6:30pm-11:00pm at the Royal Brock Hotel in Brockville. Proceeds from the event will help the foundation continue its support of local groups and causes.
Foundation chairman John Fischl states, “The Brockville and Area Community Foundation is here to help our communities. Our first masquerade ball celebrates this and helps us look toward helping local initiatives even more in the future.”
The gala will be a sit down dinner event featuring live music, silent auction, live auction and promises to be an evening attendees won’t soon forget. Masks will be supplied to those who attend, however, according to communications intern Emily Clarey, “We encourage all guests to bring their own mask if they would like. Part of the fun is seeing the creativity of others!”
Fischl adds, “Why not arrange a table of eight of your friends and join us while at the same time help your community?”
One of the features of the event will be a live auction of specialty masks that represent each of the major funds within the foundation. These masks will be hand painted by local youth artists assembled by Brittany Anne Demeule of the Prescott Youth Centre, an artist herself. The foundation is still seeking sponsors to help fund the creation of these specialty masks.
The Brockville and Area Community Foundation is a charitable public foundation that pools donations to build permanent funds. These funds are invested and annual earnings are disbursed to local charities for projects that enhance the quality of life in the community. Tickets are $125 per person and include admission, appetizers, entrée, mask and wine with dinner. Charitable receipts will be issued to those who attend. Anyone who would like to attend, donate an item for the silent auction or help sponsor the event is asked to contact Emily Clarey at the Foundation office at (613)-498-9970 or info@bcfdn.ca.
