Anybody can donate to the Foundation. Individuals, families, businesses, and even other charities can make donations to the Foundation, or establish a separate fund within the Foundation. Donors can choose to support their hometown broadly or designate favourite causes or charities. Community foundations provide many services to donors to help them make the most of their charitable gifts.

The Foundation can accept many types of donations, including gifts of cash, securities, and life insurance. The Foundation can work with a donor or a donor’s financial advisor to plan for future gifts.

Many charities also place their endowment funds with community foundations in order to ensure perpetuity and benefit from enduring, professional endowment management expertise.
